PredictionScout (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates predictionscout.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Who We Are

PredictionScout is an independent prediction market review site founded and operated by Randy Smith. We publish platform reviews, comparison guides, and educational content about prediction markets. Our full story is on our About page.

Information We Collect

PredictionScout does not require user accounts, logins, or registration. We do not collect personal information directly from visitors. Here is what our site and third-party services may collect:

Cookies

WordPress default cookies: If you leave a comment (if commenting is enabled), WordPress stores your name, email, and website in cookies for your convenience. These are optional and expire after one year.

LiteSpeed Cache cookies: Our caching plugin (LiteSpeed Cache) may set cookies to improve page load performance. These cookies do not track personal information and are used solely for site performance optimization.

Server Logs

Our hosting provider (HostArmada) maintains standard server logs that may include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited. These logs are used for security monitoring and are retained according to HostArmada’s data retention policies.

Affiliate Links and Third-Party Tracking

PredictionScout earns revenue through affiliate partnerships with prediction market platforms. When you click an affiliate link on our site, the destination platform may set cookies or use tracking parameters to attribute your visit to PredictionScout. This tracking is governed by each platform’s own privacy policy:

We do not receive personal information about you from these platforms. Affiliate tracking is limited to confirming whether a referral resulted in a funded account, which determines our commission.

Analytics

PredictionScout does not currently use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to track visitor behavior. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before any tracking is implemented.

Data We Do Not Collect

To be clear about what we don’t do:

  • We do not require user accounts or collect registration information
  • We do not collect email addresses (no newsletter signup currently exists)
  • We do not process payment information
  • We do not use retargeting pixels or advertising trackers
  • We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties

Third-Party Services

Our site relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

  • HostArmada — web hosting and server infrastructure
  • LiteSpeed — page caching and performance optimization
  • WordPress.org — content management system

Children’s Privacy

PredictionScout is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. Prediction market platforms require users to be at least 18 years old to open an account, and our content is written for an adult audience making financial decisions. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Your Choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking cookies may affect site performance (LiteSpeed Cache relies on cookies for optimization).

If you click an affiliate link, the tracking cookie is set by the destination platform, not by PredictionScout. You can manage those cookies through the platform’s settings or your browser.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this Privacy Policy when our data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes — such as adding analytics or email collection — will be noted prominently.
