The short version: PredictionScout may earn a commission when you open an account through links on this site. Commissions never influence scores, rankings, or what we write. Platforms cannot pay for placement, and we review platforms we have no financial relationship with.
Here’s the longer version, because if you’re trusting our reviews to decide where to put your money, you deserve to know exactly how we make ours.
How Affiliate Links Work
Some links on PredictionScout are affiliate links. If you click one and open an account or make a deposit, the platform may pay us a referral commission. This costs you nothing — you pay the same fees and get the same terms as if you’d gone to the platform directly. In some cases, affiliate links include sign-up bonuses that are better than the platform’s default offer.
Affiliate commissions are how this site pays for itself. We don’t run display ads, sell sponsored posts, or charge platforms for coverage.
What Commissions Don’t Buy
- Scores. Every platform score follows our published methodology — 9 weighted categories with defined rubrics. The rubric is public so you can check our work.
- Rankings. Platforms are ranked by composite score, in order. A platform that pays us nothing can and does outrank platforms that pay us.
- Coverage decisions. We review every significant platform available to US traders, whether or not an affiliate program exists. Several platforms reviewed on this site have no affiliate relationship with us at all.
- Criticism. Our reviews document withdrawal delays, unanswered support complaints, security incidents, and fee disadvantages by name. An affiliate relationship doesn’t soften a review — if it did, the reviews would be worthless, including to us.
How You Can Verify This
Don’t take our word for it — check the incentives against the output:
- Our scoring rubric and category weights are published in full on the methodology page. Recalculate any score yourself.
- Reviews cite primary sources: official fee schedules, CFTC registrations, court filings, and app store review data.
- Every review lists the platform’s weaknesses in specific, checkable terms — not vague “room for improvement” filler.
Where Disclosure Appears
Any page that contains affiliate links and makes platform recommendations carries a disclosure notice linking to this page. That includes reviews, comparison pages, and the homepage.
